If you are older than fifteen, you have noticed this: a new subculture style emerges, social networks take notice, within two seasons that style is in every mayor brand store, season later that look is marginalized again, five seasons later it reapers in some form.

That is the circle of fashion life every subculture deals with. Appropriation of style and little more than that. Some go so far to compare it to assimilation of traditions from ethnic and racial minorities into dominant culture.

Many alternative styles, originally evolved around certain belief structures and ideas, are devolved into mass produced trappings of 'coolness' and spread throughout mainstream culture as a form of “new IT trend”.

Point is, there is no use in fighting this, and it’s inevitable for each and every style to go through this. We have a choice of complaining and hating for few seasons or happily go shopping for the affordable and diverse stuff.
